Our services include:

Hull, Structural Repairs and New Builds, Steel and Aluminium

Our qualified fabricators and coded welders possess the skills and knowledge to work within the requirements of all major Classification Societies on both steel and aluminium hull structures including renewals, piping and machinery.  We have class-approved welding procedures for all major types of work. 

Pipe Fabrication in all Materials Including CuNi

From sea water cooling pipes, fresh water, sanitary, steam, deck systems, fuel systems through to plumbing, our pipe shop has the equipment to handle pipes up to 600NB in all schedules, ticketed welders and inspected to DNV-GL specifications. 

Pumps and Valves Retro Fitted, New or Rebuilt

At GSME we can rebuild your existing pumping and valve equipment or supply and install new pumps and valving.  In situations where current equipment has been obsolete or is unavailable, we will find and fabricate a retro fit solution to suit your application. 

Machinery, Installation, Retro Fits, Repairs and Servicing

Our marine servicing and site teams are highly qualified and have years of experience in marine installation, servicing and repairs.  Should you be in need of a routine service or in a breakdown situation, we are here to assist to keep you running and to get you out of port in a timely manner. 

Commercial Vessel Interior Fit-outs and Renovations

We use internationally recognised brands, materials and systems, fire rated to class rules.  GSME provide turn key packages from design to close out, in all ship interior spaces and compartments.    

Stainless Rails and Fitting

With in-house laser cutting, rolling, bending, fabrication, welding and polishing, GSME can produce all designs and types of marine rails, fittings, stainless steel and aluminium items.  Complimented by our full 3D design office and full CNC machine shop, almost any component is possible to produce.

Insulation, Lagging and Cladding

GSME adhere to A30 and A60 rules, including exhausts, turbo chargers, pipe spools and chilled water lines as well as stainless steel and aluminium cladding.

Engineering Provisioning

GSME can source and supply OEM or equivalent spare parts and consumables through all New Zealand ports direct to your vessel.
